Alex Hern - Founder and CEO of Tsunami XR/VR in San Diego County

A regular speaker at the Deutsche Bank Tech Conference and the Consumer Electronics Show, Alex Hern is a San Diego, California-based serial entrepreneur who oversees the short- and long-term vision for Tsunami XR as its chief executive officer (CEO). Alex Hern launched Tsunami XR in 2011 and has since developed a comprehensive digital-communications platform that has been employed by prominent companies operating in the aerospace and defense, automotive, and financial industries, among others. Tsunami XR's Workspaces service allows employees to collaborate across all devices and through virtual- and augmented-reality headsets.

Alex Hern is the founder or cofounder of multiple other tech businesses, including Yesmail.com, ArcSight, and Inktomi, which all eventually went public and were acquired by CMGI, Hewlett-Packard, and Yahoo!, respectively. Another company Hern established called CloudShield Technologies provided critical network-security solutions to prevent cyber attacks and was sold to LookingGlass Cyber Solutions in 2015. Moreover, he is the former CEO of the seed-stage venture fund MILCOM Technologies, which launched 14 technology firms in partnership with defense contractors and prominent research and development companies.

Hern of San Diego holds a bachelor of science in business from Florida State University. He enjoys exercise and meditation as ways to manage stress.
